When designing the lighting for a space, there is always a debate concerning what lighting control system is best, and a large part of this involves cost. Owners want a simple, cost-effective solution that meets their needs and the building code requirements. Traditionally, this was accomplished by timeclocks, contactors, switches and other standard lighting control equipment found at a local distributor or electrical supply house. Recently, the need for advanced lighting controls, including dimming, have complicated this issue.
